Walt Disney announced that it has acquired Illinois-based iParenting Media, which runs iParenting.com, a ten-year-old online network founded in 1996 of over 40 community sites for parents and those expecting children. The iParenting acquisition will integrated alongside Disney’s other family sites such as Family.com and FamilyFun.com. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed but they are rumored to be around $19 million in cash and earnout.
