Wedding planning and content site, the knot annouced its acquisition of WedSnap, developerof the popular Weddingbook app on Facebook.The app allows couples to update wedding details, as well as create photo albums, guestbooks/discussion boards and bridal registries. Terms weren’t disclosed.

This acquisition makes a lot of sense, given the demographics targeted by TheKnot. It wouldn’t surprise me to see TheKnot start taking on bigger acquisitions as time goes on. They seem to be interested in motherhood as well, which could prove to be very lucrative.
