Wedding planning and content site, the knot annouced its acquisition of WedSnap, developerof the popular Weddingbook app on Facebook.The app allows couples to update wedding details, as well as create photo albums, guestbooks/discussion boards and bridal registries. Terms weren’t disclosed.

Ask.com Acquires Sendori.com

IAC.com’s search engine Ask.com has acquired Sendori.com, a domain based search advertising application. Advertisers searching for traffic on a given subject can buy direct navigation traffic from Sendori’s domain name clients.  End users type-in domains and they are sent directly to advertisers’ sites. The terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.

Pokernews.com Acquires Chipmeup.com

Pokernews.com, the popular online poker news portal, has announced the acquisition of the poker staking site Chipmeup.com. Players can create a free user profile on Chipmeup.com, and can purchase and sell shares in featured poker tournaments sponsered by the leading online poker sites. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

 AT&T/YellowPages.com has purchased the domain name YP.com, for the sum of  $3.85 Million in Cash. Alexa ranks YP.com in the top 70,000 sites with approximately 1,000 to 3,000 daily visitors.

Huffington Post Buys Comedy News Site 236.com

The political blog Huffington Post, has announced the acquisition of comedy news site 236.com. The purchase will allow Huffington Post to expand beyond the realm of straight commentary. 236.com has approximately 2 million unique users per month, as compared to Huffpo’s 16 million unique monthly users. The terms of the transaction was not disclosed.
