Online video site GoFish Corp. agreed to buy rival Bolt Media, the same day the latter company was reportedly nearing a multi-million-dollar deal to settle a copyright-infringement suit filed by Universal Music Goup. GoFish said the stock-for-stock transaction was valued at up to $30 million. The combined company plans to develop made-for-the-Internet programming aimed at people from 18 to 34 years old, a prime demographic for advertisers.

HandHeld Entertainment Acquires Putfile.com for $7.1 Million ($1.08 million in cash and approximately $6.0 million in HandHeld Entertainment common stock)  and Increases Audience to More Than 13.7 Million Unique Visitors and 83 Million Page Views.  Putfile.com is a leading free digital media service featuring user-generated content.

Allrecipes Web site sold for $66 million to the publisher (Reader’s Digest) of Rachel Ray’magazine. Allrecipes.com was founded in 1997. In 2006 it claimed 1.6 million registered users and 30,000 recipes. Reader’s Digest expected Allrecipes.com to add about $4 million of sales before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization.
