How to spot hidden opportunities

Here are some tips to identify websites for sale that have a hidden or locked in potential. Some of the things to look for are:

  • Sites with a high number of targeted visitors who do not collect visitor emails and don’t try to upsell or cross-sell other products or services.
  • Sites that sell good products or services but have bad sales copy, low quality photos or amateurish graphics that makes potential customers run in the other direction.
  • Sites with positive cash flow that do not seem to know how to increase traffic from more sources or where to find help (i.e. outsourcing) to lower costs and increase profits.
